The AALT Technician is the official journal of the Alberta Association of Library Technicians.

For Contributors

Submissions Policy

The AALT Technician welcomes submissions from AALT Members and those in the wider community supporting the interests and professional development of Alberta’s library technicians. Such submissions may include, but are not limited to:
  • Articles on a topic of professional practice
  • Editorials on an issue in libraries
  • Reviews of books or other media
  • Photo essays of visits to noteworthy libraries

All submissions are published in the journal at the discretion of the Journal Editor(s).

All articles must be submitted electronically as an .rtf, .txt, or .doc file and may be subject to editing. If images or other media are included with article, copies should be submitted separately. Submissions may be held for publication at a future time, but for no more than 6 months from the date of receipt.

Images and multimedia submissions should be presented in a polished, web-friendly format.

Submissions accepted for publication will be published on The AALT Technician under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Beyond this, rights remain with the contributor.
